Our international kindergarten course is for children aged 3 – 6 prior to their entry into Elementary school. Classes and activities are taught 100% in an English only environment. Our Kindergarten curriculum is designed to promote childrens early years and developmental goals while keeping things fun! With a range of interesting and challenging activities we encourage skills that are essential for children to become healthy, independent and responsible members of a global society. P.E., music, art, science, academics and intellectual learning are regularly taught. We believe that that by providing opportunities for children to explore and discover the world around them, they can play an active role in their own education and so we try to give children as many chances to thrive as possible while enjoying their early years. Kindergarten Preschool Curriculum
Our child focused curriculum is tailored to meet the specific needs of each students age range within our school. From the basics of number and letter recognition, reading, somersaults, cleaning up after themselves and scribbling to writing their own stories/diaries, doing cartwheels, creating a class cleaning routine and painting beautiful works of art. We continually challenge the children in each level that they are in. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering & Math. STEM focuses on Intellectual learning rather than Academic learning. Academic learning is the basis of memorizing, practicing, counting, reciting. Intellectual learning uses reasoning, predicting, hypothesizing and problem solving. It’s a natural learning method and uses open ended questions & brain building. STEM is a recognized and popular teaching method used in North America and at GROW we incorporate it into our classes in a fun and exciting way!
